Chips are acquired by winning missions, completing objectives, scanning containers, or receiving medals. Chips improve the characters running speed, jump height, slide speed, stealth, and gameball abilities by inserting it into the character tab after a level-up.

Each character has a different arrangement of the chip set, but they all contain the same amount of chip slots.
